Our Mission

To provide access to on demand products and services to the UCD community to facilitate research.

Vet Med Central Services has been in existence since 1951 as a service unit under the School of Veterinary Medicine (SOVM). Our primary mission is to support research at UC Davis, by providing on demand access to life science supplies, with two storefronts on campus with same day delivery, and provide services including Personal Protection Equipment fitting and Onsite pipette, balance, and pH meter calibration services.

VM: Central Services is your connection to Life Science suppliers and manufactures. We bring these suppliers and manufactures to campus community for table top shows, and seminars, where they can display their latest products or answer any technical questions that you have.

VM: Central Services prides itself on customer service. Our goal is to let the campus researchers focus on their task at hand, while we provide support through supply procurement, product support, and more.

HARING HALL STOREROOM

The Haring Hall Storeroom is the VMCS Supply Center flagship store. Located across from the Silo, adjacent to the bus terminal, the Haring Hall Store has served campus researchers since 1951.

Everything from general lab supplies and enzymes to office supplies and tools can be purchased with a valid UCD budget number.

VM3B STOREROOM

24 / 7 Supply Center is open 24 hours

The VM3B Storeroom opened in 2013. Located on the north side of the VM3B building, the store carries many of the supplies carried at the Haring location which can be purchased with a valid UCD budget number.

The 24/7 Kiosk Supply Center is the first of it's kind on campus. The Center can be accessed 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. The Kiosks offer self-checkout of enzymes, media and more.

Return Policy

VMCS Stocked Items

A stock item is any item the Unit has inventory of in its storeroom.

NONPERISHABLE ITEMS

Nonperishable Stock Items purchased from Vet Med: Central Services & Biological Media Services CAN be returned for full credit or exchange within 30 days of purchase. The product must be in its original packaging and must not be damaged for full credit or exchange, otherwise the return will be negotiated on case by case basis.

PERISHABLE ITEMS

Perishable Stock Items purchased from Vet Med: Central Services & Biological Media Services MAY be returned for full credit or exchange 30 days of purchase. Due to the perishable nature of these products, returns will be negotiated on a case by case basis.

VMCS Virtual Items

A virtual item is any item that is not inventoried and is ordered ,on behalf of the customer, for recharge.

Virtual Items purchased from Vet Med: Central Services & Biological Media Services are subject to the return policy of the Manufacturer or Distributor the item was purchased from. Most manufactures' and Distributors' return policies require a re-stocking and/or shipping charge. These returns will be negotiated on a case by case basis.
